[ And today, you are greeted by the sound of what seems to be a meowth being stretched on a rack. The camera isn't pointed at anything in particular but it does seem to be a rather good view of one of the routes. Too bad those sounds are ruining the scenery. These are screeches and yowls so vicious, you'd probably think it was two meowth fighting over a rattata. It goes on for probably five minutes in what seems to be a poorly attempted "Ode to Joy" and then stops abruptly due to a vicious
CRACK. ]
Ow!
[ Ow? Rattata don't go ow. And neither do pokemon. What you do get afterward though is the sound of ruffling and a "funf" as someone deposits himself right next to the Gear. ]
Blimey, Niccolo, can we take a break? At the rate you're going, m'prolly going to end up being unable to use this hand for a week!
[ And then you hear chittering.
ANGRY Kricketune chittering.
And a sigh from the poor belaguered Mister Knox. ]
Listen, I appreciate you trying to teach me the violin and all but could you take it e-- [ CRACK ] OW!
Alright, alright. Let's have at it again then.
[ To which the yowling begins anew. ]

[ He merely means to go play the violin out of earshot. If you could even call that playing. ]
no subject
Just you wait, sir. I'll manage a decent sound out of this yet!
[ Challenge accepted, Will. He'll sweep you off your feet yet. ]
no subject
Sighing. All the sighing. ]
Fine. Do you need extra tutoring? I can let Ludwig out to help.
no subject
But there's a bit of surprise at that. ]
eh? One of yours, sir?
no subject
Yes, I have a Kricketot as well.
no subject
But there's a grimace there. ]
is he going to start rapping on my knuckles too?
no subject
[ If anything he might just sit there and laugh in his own crickety way. ]
no subject
[ And that whine gives off the air of "but daaaaaaaaaad" if anything. ]
S'just my first time is all!

Not gonna comment on the innuendo of Ron's last bit.]What in Death's name made you decide to attempt this, anyway?
no subject
I needed something to pass the time and Nico's been meaning to give it a go since he heard me playing a leaf.
no subject
[ Isn't he encouraging? He's so encouraging! ]
no subject
just you wait! I'll make it sound decent yet, sir!
[ And there's a nudge at his elbow from Nico who's holding... A leaf? show him, Ron, show him! Show him what you played for me!
it takes Ron a bit to understand but when he does, he'll just take that leaf with a small grin up at Will. ]
d'you want to hear something better'n my fiddle playing?
no subject
[ He's indulging you for the moment, better take advantage. ]
no subject
And without another word, he starts folding up the leaf this way and that before putting it to his lips and what follows is definitely much much better than his attempted fiddle playing. It's smooth and sweet, kind of like a well tuned higher pitched flute than anything. The kind of sound that would remind someone of the summer breeze and naps in the warm sunshine. Maybe even the London countryside if you've ever been out there.
As he plays, Ronald sneaks a few glances over to his boss... Just to judge his reaction if any. ]

He ends his performance a bit reluctantly, pleased to see that Nico had been conducting him this entire time and that he's somehow managed to iron out the furrow on his boss' brow. ]
well? What'd you think?

Blimey, you really have never done anything for fun have you?
no subject
I have so. But you know very well I don't have much time to myself.
no subject
we've more'n enough time here, sir. Maybe I could have a hand in something you fancy, eh?
no subject
[ He may be okay with that. The longer he's here to more he realizes that it's just the norm to do and not actually expected or required. Perhaps he can (gasp!) allow himself to relax and look at this more as a well deserved vacation. ]
no subject
well... Look at it this way, sir. S'not like anyone's actually checking our progress, eh? We don't have to stop per se but we could take it at an easier pace.
[ And a vague hand gesture ]
sure, the dosh's nice and all but how about seeing the sights? It'd be a great chance to see the world and not... Go rushing about here and there.
no subject
Alright. Is there anywhere in particular you wanted to visit?
no subject
No... Not really! Like I said, sir. We can take it slow. No need to go rushing about to the next town and the next.
[ A thought. ]
Have you ever been to sea?
no subject
[ Occasionally when he was actually alive, but reaper life doesn't give him much time for things like that. ]
