[ Today, you are greeted with a whump and a crash... and the sound of a panicked Duskull as it floats over to check on its trainer who had apparently fallen out of bed along with his Gear. ]

...Bimey... what time is it...?

[ There's a pause though as Ronald reaches for his glasses and goes to check the time, his grogginess suddenly disappearing the minute he realizes what time -- and day -- it is. ]

Hang on... I've been asleep for HOW LONG?! That's... not right. At least I'm awake in time for Christmas...

[ And have a small grin before he ends. ]

Bit of advice for you lot: Killua's made some fantastic absinthe lollies for this month's menu... but don't have ten in one go or you might end up like me.

Oh they wouldn't do that for something that's not your fault. You couldn't possibly have known.

Anyway, once I go home, if nothing else, I'll see them all again. Until then it's all about trying to make the most of this world.

Don't worry, it's not very common. The gears are pretty sturdy and people don't often steal them. After all, just about everyone has them, so it's not like you could sell it.

That just leaves losing it, and it's not so small that doing so is particularly easy.

There was something else, too... one of the pretty young lasses at the center mentioned something like PokeStar? M'not really sure... but that's what I heard her call it.

[ A small shrug. ]

You're a quick one! Right on the nose there. A phone's kind of like the Gear, really... sept the ones I've seen back home didn't allow for moving pictures and all. Just your voice.

Huh, we didn't have technology of that level back home. But we did have magic that could do something similar with written messages, so I suppose it works out. Still, I guess it made things easier to adjust to for you.

Blimey... magic never went that far in my world. At least not the sort of magic humans know. Course, they're a daft sort.

[ There's a grin for that. ]

S'just one thing familiar. Everything else is as much shiny and new to me as it was to you, I'd wager!

The magic paradigms in all the different worlds, at least the ones that have magic to begin with, are really different. It's actually kind of fascinating.

[But this guy isn't Kayneth, and she can't be sure he's as interested in discussing the inner workings of magic with her as her fellow nerd is, so she leaves it at that.]

As for this world, it seems like the only ones familiar with most of the technology here are the ones who've actually reached the stars in their worlds.

Yeah, I've heard of that lot! Danny mentioned it once when we spoke. Said he was prolly a good couple of hundred years ahead of my time. Cor, what a time to be alive...

No, our most advanced type of travel is trains. And teleportation, but that's magic and not many unicorns can do it.

Sounds close to home... minus the teleportation bit. Course, that's prolly something only a reaper knows how to--

Ahhh, yes. I guess I forgot to mention that part, didn't I? Equestria is a land of ponies. Earth ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns. I'm the latter.
