[ And this video opens to the wide eyes of an eager houndour pup staring up at the screen. ]

Alright, that's it. Good boy. Stay right there.

[ As if on cue, the Houndour sits down with its eyes still glued to the screen. ]

Let's show everyone what you can do then, alright? Up you get!

[ At the command, the houndour sits up with his tail wagging furiously. ]

Good boy! Brilliant! Now the last bit... here you are. Steady as she goes then.

[ At this, Ronald places what seems to be the corner off a pokepuff on the Houndour's nose. The pokemon seems to balance it for a moment before turning his head and snapping it up for himself.... much to his trainer's disappointment. ]

Ah, blimey... Barkley, you were supposed to wait til I said you could eat it!

[ But he settles down beside the houndour, moving the Gear back to face him. ]

Gundam! Here's the pup I bought from you a while back! He's a smart little blighter... got a mind of his own sometimes though.

But... bit of a question. D'you lot know any other tricks I could teach him? Never actually had a dog before and those're a bit different'n the tricks I've taught Grim and the rest to help with my act.

Well - there's the handstand high five, army crawl and the classic playing DEAD!

To name a few.

Playing dead, eh? That'll be an ironic trick to teach him, I wager.

[ Don't mind him snickering at the irony for a sec. ]

[Crocker is speaking like he's handled dogs back in his world]

You can teach them to jump on those you don't like on command!

... Ironic? How so?

Yeah? You should teach me sometime before Mister Spears and I take to the road.

[ There's a curious blink though. ]

Eh? You don't see the irony? A reaper's dog knowing how to play dead?

Sure thing! Huh? Why are you leaving?

Can't say I - Well that's the second person I know now.

The boss fancies taking on the gyms so I decided to come along for the ride.

[ There's a bit of a dismissive amused shrug after that. But a pause to think at his second statement. ]

Second person...? Well, the only other reaper I know here apart from Mister Spears'n myself'd be Botan. Is that her?

I see.

You hit the hammer on the nail!

So - should where should I meet you and your Pokemon? We'll need some space for the training.

No better space'n on circus grounds, mate! Give us a bit and we could prolly meet you out front.

[Denzel jumps over to the front of the circus with his Growlithe. Who is spitting a small fire in place to keep her trainer warm. Since despite the winter clothes Crocker is still shivering. ]

[ He'll be out frown with Barkley, hands in his pockets as the houndour's running circles around him. He's just about to wrestle his scarf away from away from the pup when he spots Denzel, waving him over with one hand. ]

Blimey... we prolly should've done this somewhere warmer, eh?

[Denzel meanwhile is rubbing his hands together as they're in the mittens. The man looks up and gives a sarcastic laugh.]

You think?

[Growlithe meanwhile barks to greet Barkley and runs up to sniff the other Pokemon]

Prolly so. But better now'n never, eh?

[ Barkley, however, isn't shy in the least. He's more than happy to greet the Growlithe, barking back and dropping down with his little toosh in the air: the universal dog sign for play.

His trainer though, takes notice of the two. ]

Looks like this pair'll make fast friends.

[Growlithe play barks back saying come and get me if you can. Only intending to circle around the two trainers]

Who Geraldine? She makes friends with everyone.

[Denzel gives Knox a quick smirk]

Now - what trick would you like for your Pokemon to learn first?

That's good to hear. Her kind seems like the friendly sort though!

[ There's a pause to think though. ]

We should prolly take it slow to start... something easy.

[ However, this prompts the softest whine from Barkley. ]

Not that I haven't any faith in you, boy! S'just easier to find a starting point that way is all!

[Growlithe barks to the comment as her tongue sticks out the side of her mouth]

Alright. Staying it - IS!

[Denzel looks down at Barkely and kneels to the Pokemon levels]

I've taken care of dogs before this place. You'll be alright.

[As Crocker goes to give Barkely a pat on the head for reassurance]

Now, watch. Geraldine. Stay!

[Denzel begins to walk away and Growlithe does not follow]

Good girl. Now. Come here.

[She comes and is rewarded with Poke treats]

[ And with that, Ronald's going to take a bit of a backseat and just watch for a spell. After all, best he observe first, apply what he learned later. Good thing he's always been a quick study.

Same goes for Barkley, thankfully. There's a quick woof of approval at the pat.

Both reaper and Pokemon have their attention on Geraldine and Denzel, their heads tilting on occasion as they start to watch the display. When it's over, Ronald steps over, turning his eyes back to his houndour. ]

Looks simple enough, eh, Barkley? How long'd it take her to pick that one up?

[Denzel looks over at Geraldine as if he's trying to remember]

Less than a day.

Why don't you give it a try?

[After all Crocker knows he can't teach the other's Pokemon. There is trust between trainer and Pokemon in this after all. Meanwhile, Geraldine wags her tail like she believes in Barkely]

[ Sounds like a solid plan. So Ron's just gonna turn his attention to his little puppy for a sec. ]

Alright, mate. Let's give it a go. Wager this should come in handy somewhere down the road.

[ He's just gonna push Barkley's butt down to make him sit before holding his hand up. ]

Right. Barkley, stay.

[ And he's holding up both hands, taking one step back at a time. Barkley seems to be doing well, tilting his head with his tail wagging as he continues to remain where he was made to sit. ]

Steady, boy... stay.... st- aw buggering hell, Barkley!

[ The moment Ronald is four steps away, the Houndour gets up and waddles its way over. ]

Looks like he's got the basics down though.

[Growlithe meanwhile in dog language tells Barkly you're not suppose to follow and covers her face with one of her paws as she makes a whining noise]

Well... It's a start?

[Denzel pauses for a moment]

Did you want to see a few more that you could work on?

[ There's a confused little whine though as Barkley tilts his head. He wasn't? Well that explains his trainer's reaction. ]

Yeah, it's a start. We'll work on it while we travel, I suppose! But yeah, sure! You could toss us a few more'n maybe I could fix us a drink or two to shake off the cold after, what d'you say?

Alright, Geraldine. Roll over. Beg. Play dead.

[All of which the Pokemon obeys and is rewarded afterwards. Growlithe looks over at Barkley and gives a bark, she believes in Barkley!]

Oh! I'll take my coffee without any cream or sugar.
