005 | Of names and other things...
Here's a question for you lot.
[ Today finds Ronald under a tree, enjoying the weather as he uses Barkley (now a houndoom) as a pillow. ]
Color a bloke curious but... how'd you come up with names for your pokemon? Ever fancy naming them after anyone from home?
Just a passing curiosity!

[It looks like a Ghost-type, maybe? He's still learning the ropes here.]
Well, I started out with a Porygon and I'm from a world where the technology is sort of scattered. Humans normally don't have access to much, but when we went to the surface we were able to get our hands on some. I'm still learning about it back home, but I had never seen anything like a Porygon before. I asked some of the people here in Cherrygrove what I should call it and eventually I settled on "Dimension".
[He kind of got hung up on 2-D and 3-D, whoops.]
I have a Flabébé that I named Lily. I try to come up with fitting names, but that looks like it'll be difficult for some Pokémon.

Bit of a fancy name for a Porygon but it suits it, yeah! Does get a bit hard coming up with names that fit... so... names that sound nice are a close second, if you ask me.

Yes, I'd say so too.
...Ah, if you don't mind, may I ask you about that Pokémon? I've never seen one like it.

Literally. ]
Grim? He's the pokemon I had with me when I first woke up here. He's... I think he's called a Duskull, s'that right, Grim?
[ To which the Duskull gives a nod in response. ]

A Duskull... I'll have to look into them. Yours is very cute.

I think he appreciates the kind word so... thanks for saying so! Haven't seen any others like him in the wild yet... save for the one my boss has. He can be a right handful sometimes, Red can.

[Sorry, he's kind of a dork about these things. Pokémon natures are really interesting though!!]

Red... blimey, Red's a bit of a handful compared to Grim here. Grim's a bleeding angel compared to him! He's the cheeky sort... always up to something which Mister Spears doesn't take kindly to.

[ And with the way he's chuckling, doubtless there's more to his story. ]
My boss hasn't taken a liking to him but... he seems alright! But fancy that. Seems that these pokemon're as varied as uoi and me, eh? Nothing like the animals back home, I'll tell you what. Every cow's as dull as the next one.
