005 | Of names and other things...
Here's a question for you lot.
[ Today finds Ronald under a tree, enjoying the weather as he uses Barkley (now a houndoom) as a pillow. ]
Color a bloke curious but... how'd you come up with names for your pokemon? Ever fancy naming them after anyone from home?
Just a passing curiosity!

Flatterer. I never did thank you for the chocolate, did I?
It's fascinating, the diversity and strength in personality of Pokemon. Far more than I'm used to, among animals.
video
No thanks necessary. S'long as you enjoyed them, that's thanks enough.
[ And a hum for that. ]
Odd, innit? Back home, a cow's a cow like every other cow but here... you'd think they're people with how they act.

I did, thank you.
[Lust pauses, thoughtful.]
It makes a very strong case for the idea that intelligence directly effects strength of personality. One cow is much the same as any other, but more intelligent animals like dogs have more unique differences between them.
I've yet to meet a single species of Pokemon that was anywhere near dumber than a dog.

[ And he looks rather pleased at that. Good. She liked them. But onto more pressing matters. You may have lost him in the earlier sentence but good thing the second one summarizes it rather well. ]
Blimey, I'll say. The pigeons I've seen back home're nowhere near as smart as the pidoves here. Almost like they can understand you.

It's a pleasant change from being someone's proof of wealth and power.
[Lust's views are very much shaped by her own experiences.]
They understand you perfectly, I'm sure. And talk about you among themselves. I know a woman who's taught her team to cook and clean with her.

So... on to the other bit. ]
Definitely much smarter'n the animals back home, m'sure. It's a bit strange to think about.
